Ideal City Necklace

White-bronze.

The necklace clearly draws inspiration from the Renaissance paintings that depict an “ideal city”, featuring different volumes of buildings and monuments to evoke historical examples. Therefore, we allude to an urban project with rational, geometric elements and, above all, strong abstract principles that are accompanied by an ideal, philosophical tension, often characterised by utopia.

I sought to achieve a compositional balance of the architectural forms cast in burnished bronzobianco: from the classical world to the Renaissance, from the Middle Ages to the Neoclassical. An abundance of symbols and icons accompanies the powerful sculptural value of the necklace.
